| | | Producer Market Pulp Stocks Down Slightly But Stocks At European Ports Up… China Remains The Driving Force | Pap'Argus 12/30/2011 10:14:55 AM | | If we take the latest statistics for world market pulp stocks in November from the Pulp and Paper Products Council (PPPC), the situation looks to be better: the activity rate for pulp production was up at 92%, against 81% the preceding month and over the first 11 months of the year, shipments were 3.7% higher at 38.47 million tonnes. There was even a leap of over 10% between October and November with shipments rising from 3.2 to 3.5 million tonnes. In terms of stocks held by producers, these were 2 days lower at 37 days (35 for softwood and 39 for hardwood), based on seasonally adjusted data.
